This month features 3 spine tingling stories!
George and Christine are a happy couple recently married, enjoying their new life together. Like all married couples, they have their differences. Although George is very superstitious and Christine does nothing without checking her horoscope, they each think the other is being silly. One day, Christine begs George not to go out because his horoscope says it’s not a good day for him to leave the house. He promises to be careful, but soon odd events start happening and he begins to wonder if there is something to the astrological warning. Will George make it home tonight? You will have to show up at the Lakes Area Radio Theatre to find out.
“A Funny Thing Happened”
Joey Gordon has a gift as a ventriloquist, but strange things start to happen one night at the Chuckle Hut when Mikey, his dummy, suddenly spouts off in Spanish. Small problem, Joey doesn’t speak Spanish. While he wonders what happened, his agent is sure that he will be the next hit on the tv late show circuit. A heart attack, a break-in, and blackmail from an unlikely source just might leave Joey speechless.
Kids have played games of hangman for generations, but in tonight’s play, Hangman, the consequences become very realistic for one man. Cunningham, a young widower who recently lost the love of his life, is made an offer he can’t refuse: in exchange for a minor body part, his big toe, he will relive 31 days with his lost wife. No big deal, until those 31 days are over, and he misses his wife even more than before. What’s a man to do? Everyone knows a deal with the devil never turns out well.
