Fall Colors Beginning to Appear in Alexandria Lakes Area

The autumn hues are starting to pop up around the Alexandria Lakes Area! While they appeared slow to start at the beginning of September, they are starting to progress more. Cool overnight temperatures along with plenty of bright and sunny days will help accelerate the pace along with helping entice vibrant colors out of the leaves. Luckily for the Alexandria Lakes Area, there are many different species of trees to display many different variations of color. To help you find the colors, we have a list of Fall Color Hotspots and some Must-Do Activities and Events!
A few maples are starting to show great colors and many of the ash trees are already displaying beautiful yellows. The area is currently between 0-10% changed. The last weekend in September, and early to mid October should be great times to catch our dazzling autumn hues, so don’t miss it! The following pictures were taken September 15th-19th:
