Grape Stomp Festival is Highlight of Fall in Alexandria
September 14, 2023    //    Joe Korkowski
The Grape Stomp Festival has been a huge festival in the Alexandria Lakes Area since it first took place many years ago. Carlos Creek Winery is at the hub of activity, but it is now part of a bigger picture that is under the umbrella of Bold North Cellars. 22 Northmen Brewery is also a great addition as is the Grand Hall Event Center. Put it all together, add wine tasting, a beer garden, twelve bands on four stages, over 100 food, juried art and marketplace vendors, lumberjack shows, and three days of grape stomping and you have something that will draw in an estimated 15,000 people over the three day event.
The event runs from Friday, September 15th through Sunday September 17th. Each year there is a theme on Saturday. This year it is simply called “Lumber Jack”, allowing people to get out their flannel and celebrate the great outdoors.
The FREE shuttles from local hotels are now offered on Friday (as well as Saturday) this year! In addition, on Saturday only, shuttles will run from Carlos State Park, Runestone Community Center and Viking Plaza Mall. There is ample on-site parking if you wish to drive.
