"The Alexandria lakes area has so much going for it, not just in the summer when our lakes beckon anglers, boaters and beach-goers. There are parks and trails to explore year-round. There are live bands, dozens and dozens of restaurants to check out, along with wineries, distilleries and breweries....Some Alexandrians move away to pursue career opportunities but many of them come back home to raise their families and retire. It’s the place to be."
