About Lake Brophy Wayside Park

Lake Brophy Wayside Park is the historic wayside rest that was built as a public works project in the 1930’s. The park contains 6 acres and a little over 1,000 feet of Lake Brophy shoreline. It is a great spot to pull over and take a break or have an afternoon picnic with ample green space, picnic tables, water access, playground, and fire rings.

The park is located in LaGrande Township of Douglas County, Minnesota. From Alexandria, go west on County Highway 82 approximately 3 12 miles to the park entrance.
