Noonan Park surrounds a small lake in the middle of town. Walking paths all around with picnic tables, grills, walking bridge, basketball court and flower beds. A nice place to watch and feed the ducks and geese, but please don’t give them bread. Contrary to popular practices, feeding bread to the wildlife is both bad for the birds as well as the water quality. Instead, try feeding them bird seeds, thawed frozen peas, corn, oats or chopped lettuce.
In the winter, it’s a popular place for outdoor ice skating. Featuring separate outdoor rinks for both hockey and casual skating, Noonan Park is a great place to enjoy ice skating. Warming house on site.
